Taxateur was imported from Holland, after completing the stallion testing, in 1982. He is the first Dutch Warmblood stallion outside of the Netherlands to be approved by the Royal Warmblood Studbook of the Netherlands (Waarmbloed Paardenstamboek in Nederaland)
His career as an FEI dressage horse spanned two riders and all levels, including national championships and silver and gold medals in International competition.
Taxateur has appeared on the "Top Ten USDF Leading Sires List" each year from 1994 to 2001. In 1999 he was the 3rd ranked sire of FEI horses competing in the United States.
His offspring include winners and champions at national and international levels in dressage and breeding competitions.
